Husson University (Design/Build – New Construction) The installation of HVAC and Plumbing for a 66,000 SF multi- purpose function building consisting of classroom space on the first floor and 64 dormitory suites on the second through fifth floors, which provide housing for 254 students. Each suite contains two bedrooms, a combined living area and a private bathroom. The HVAC system for each suite utilizes a four pipe heating and cooling fan coil system. Energy recovery units capture heat from bathroom exhaust to pretreat ventilation air. Some unique features include the installation of five solar arrays on the roof to provide domestic hot water and a copper piping system designed to recover heat from the drainage piping stacks.
University of New England, Sokokis Hall (Design/Build – New Construction) A 105,000 SF dormitory completed in 10 months. The building consists of 84 dormitory rooms, each with a full bath and kitchen. High efficiency boilers provided hot water for a radiant floor heating system installed throughout the building as well as for the domestic hot water system.
University of New England, Patient Care Center (Plan/Specification – New Construction) A two story, 36,000 SF project serving as a dental school, including laboratory and clinical spaces, where patients can receive affordable dental care provided by the students. The mechanical basement houses the intricate equipment necessary for the building to function, including complete HVAC, plumbing, vacuum and compressed air systems.
