Academic

Husson University
(Design/Build – New Construction)

The installation of HVAC and Plumbing for a 66,000 SF multi- purpose function building consisting of classroom space on the first floor and 64 dormitory suites on the second through fifth floors, which provide housing for 254 students. Each suite contains two bedrooms, a combined living area and a private bathroom. The HVAC system for each suite utilizes a four pipe heating and cooling fan coil system. Energy recovery units capture heat from bathroom exhaust to pretreat ventilation air. Some unique features include the installation of five solar arrays on the roof to provide domestic hot water and a copper piping system designed to recover heat from the drainage piping stacks.

University of New England, Sokokis Hall
(Design/Build – New Construction)

A 105,000 SF dormitory completed in 10 months. The building consists of 84 dormitory rooms, each with a full bath and kitchen. High efficiency boilers provided hot water for a radiant floor heating system installed throughout the building as well as for the domestic hot water system.

University of New England, Patient Care Center
(Plan/Specification – New Construction)

A two story, 36,000 SF project serving as a dental school, including laboratory and clinical spaces, where patients can receive affordable dental care provided by the students. The mechanical basement houses the intricate equipment necessary for the building to function, including complete HVAC, plumbing, vacuum and compressed air systems.

Kennebec Savings Bank
(Plan/Specification – New Construction)

This bank branch incorporates a geothermal system with a heat pump to provide heating and cooling throughout. A high efficiency boiler serves as back up heat if required during the colder months of the year. A specialty heat pump water heater delivers domestic hot water to the two restrooms.

Gorham Savings Bank (Design/Build – New Construction)

Titan Mechanical, Inc. has installed complete HVAC and plumbing systems for several Gorham Savings Bank branches, including locations in Falmouth, Portland, Windham and Gorham.

cPort Credit Union
(Design/Build – New Construction)

A single story building with teller pods, an open lobby/lounge area and private offices for staff. The building HVAC consists of a split system air conditioning unit and VAV boxes to provide greater controllability for the client. A full plumbing system serves the two facility restrooms.

Medical

University of New England College of Pharmay
(Plan/Specification – New Construction)

The 50,000 sqft new building incorporates a dedicated outside air system DOAS through chill beam HVAC with low and medium temperature water and hot water piping distribution, RODI water, Fume Hoods, Phoenix Valves, medical gas and plumbing systems. Titan Mechanical, Inc. provided pricing and value engineering from design stage for this project.

Maine Medical Center P6 Psychiatric Ward
(Plan/Specification – Remodel)

Provided complete HVAC, Plumbing and Medical Gas Systems for the remodeled exam rooms.

Hospitality

Marriott Residence Inn
(Plan/Specification – New Construction)

Titan Mechanical, Inc. completed the mechanical systems for a 145,000 SF building, with retail space on the ground floor and 179 suites on the four floors above. The project included HVAC, heat pumps, radiant heating, and plumbing systems throughout. The suites were equipped with kitchenettes and geared toward extended stay vacationers. This project was constructed in a busy section of Portland’s East End neighborhood and required attention to detail to minimize the impact for the area’s normal daily activities.

Portland Harbour Hotel
(Design/Build – Expansion)

This project consisted of an 17,000 SF expansion to an existing luxury hotel located in Portland’s downtown area with retail and conference spaces on the ground floor and hotel rooms above.

Hilton Garden Inn
(Plan/Specification – New Construction)

Housing

Grand Victorian
(Plan/Specification – New Construction)

The 110,000 SF building offers 8 retail spaces on the first floor, including a restaurant and bar, clothing and an OOB Police substation. On the floors above 51 private condominiums overlook the beach, complete with bedrooms, living/dining rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. The common amenities are an indoor pool, exercise room, sauna and showers and beach changing station. Titan Mechanical, Inc. installed the mechanical and plumbing systems for this project.

Ocean View Blueberry Commons
(Plan/Specification –Remodel/Expansion)

The 88,000 SF expansion project consisted of the addition of 23 independent apartments. Each apartment was designed as a complete home with bedrooms, living/dining rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. The expansion also added laundry areas, a large gathering space, exercise and billiard rooms, an enlarged dining area and additional parking. The existing commercial kitchen, cafe and library were also remodeled. Split systems heat pumps provide cooling and hydronic baseboard is installed in each apartment for heating. Solar panels mounted on the roof provide preheating for the domestic hot water system, minimizing utility costs.

Preble Street Teen Shelter
(Design/Build – Major Remodel)

A complete renovation to an existing four story historical building in Portland, Maine. A 24/7 facility provides a safe shelter for teens 365 days a year. The first three floors are an open concept design with 24 beds and common restrooms. The fourth floor is utilized as office space for the staff. The mechanical system consisted of reusing one rooftop unit and installing two new units. A split system provides heating and cooling to the basment area. New low flow plumbing fixtures were installed throughout the building and tied into existing utilities.

Municipal

Saco Fire Department
(Plan/Specification – New Construction)

The new building received a LEED Silver certification and includes solar domestic hot water, and a geothermal heating system as well as increasing the R-Value and reducing the carbon footprint.

Pennell Institute
(Design/Build – Major Remodel)

The 134 year old building was transformed from a decaying building into town offices for Gray, Maine.

Gray Public Library
(Design/Build – Addition/Major Remodel)

The Gray Public Library Expansion Project added approximately 3,000 square feet to the existing library, providing new meeting rooms, a larger children’s area and better access to disabled patrons, including upgraded ADA compliant restrooms. The HVAC design improved energy efficiency utilizing a new gas fired combustion boiler to serve the existing underslab heating zones and to provide heat to duct coils throughout the addition. The new boiler and components were installed while the existing oil fired boiler was still functioning in its original location to eliminate downtime during construction in the colder months. Due to the limited size of the new boiler room the layout for equipment and piping had to be well thought out and instituted.

Retail

Prime Motors (Design/Build – New Construction)

A new 32,000 SF dealership with service facility and office areas for Toyota cars. The project included HVAC and plumbing systems with service garage special ventilation system.

Falmouth Sea Grill
(Design/Build – Expansion/Remodel)

This original boat marina was completely rebuilt to include a restaurant and bar over the water. Titan Mechanical, Inc. provided the mechanical and plumbing systems for the commercial kitchen, public laundry and restrooms for visiting boater’s convenience and a fire pit on the outside deck.

Linda Bean’s
(Plan/Specification – Major Remodel)

Once a bath and body shop, this building on the corner of a busy Freeport downtown street, was transformed into a two story restaurant with a children’s education center featuring a large aquarium and the food preparation area in the basement. Remote controlled dampers were installed on the ductwork due to the inaccessibility above the wooden ceilings. The plumbing fixtures incorporate electronic valves and faucets that regenerate their own power when used, maximizing the battery life of the fixture.
